Being set up for the hose its sort of a pooch on motor, 10.77 @ 129 with a 1.50 short time.....(off the T-brake @ 2800 rpm)
With the low compression, tight nitrous convertor, 4.10s and 29.5s I'm suprised it runs that well...

It does however respond quite well to a 375 hit of the hose !

Brilliant. 759 N/A SBC horses.....What size are those headers 2"?. It looks like they fit the Camaro just fine.

Looks like you got the spread port version 235's. My standard Hooker 1 7/8" headers only just fit with the AFR 235's but were OK on the AFR 195 comp heads...?

Hi guys! New guy here.

I am building a new setup and kinda wondering what you guys think of my cam options:

Dart Little M Steel Caps 4.125 with 350 main
Eagle 4340 3.75" crank
Eagle H-Beam rods with ARP2000
JE Nitrous Series +3cc build for 9.020" deck (will be 12.5:1)
Dart Pro1 Platinum 215cc as-cast with steel valves (no titanium)
MLS 0.040" gaskets
Dart Single Plane Manifold
Edelbrock RPM II nitrous kit - 225hp on old setup, going to 275-300hp
Crank Trigger
3600lbs street car - 1980 Camaro
TH-400 with Brake - 4400 Trans-Specialties converter
3.90 gears with 28" tire (going to 30" next year)

This is the cam I have from my previous Setup:
Crower
0.626"int/0.620"exh
254/262 @ 0.050"
290/296 adv
114 lobe separation

I was thinking of possibly stepping up to:
Crower
0.653"int/0.646"exh
262/270 @ 0.050"
296/306 adv
114 lobe separation

Another option would be (pretty big tho!):
Crower
0.680"int/0.672"exh
274/282 @ 0.050
310/318 adv
114 lobe separation

Which one would you recommend???

Thanks

Just one -10 bulkhead in the passenger side and the fill cap on the drivers side. It's a Jegs can, works great and has a drain on the bottom. You wouldn't believe the moisture that comes out after running it for a night.

350 .030 over no decking,torque plates ect.
stock GM caqst crank and rods with arp bolts.
TRW 2304 small dome pistons with stock rings.
HV oil pump and 6 quart pan.
reed oval track solid flat tappet cam. 252/260@ .050, .518/.532" lift,106 seration 106 intake centerline.
Very ported and tricked out GM camel hump heads. Probably flowed about the same as out of the box iron Sportsman 2's
Ported to match Holley Strip Dominator intake
rejetted 750 DP
1 7/8" Hooker Super Comps,3.5" pipes and 2 chamber Flowmasters
Magnetic pickup distributor and blaster 2 coil(no box)
Th 350 with shift kit and no name 3500 stall convertor(I think it was a junkyard Vega convertor)
4.10 gear 10 bolt with 30" tall slicks.
In a 3400# 73 Firebird t ran 12.09 using 1st and 2nd gear shifting at 7000 and only clicked 3rd as it was coming up on the finish line. I swapped in 5.13's and ran all 3 gears and went .010 slower despite the car dead hooking and going thru the lights at 7000 in high gear.
With the 4.10's I drove the car 35 miles to and from the track with the stock cushy seats, and big stereo system. I had a 3 gallon fuel cell and holley blue pump and brought a gas jug with me. I drive the car 18 miles from Bayonne to the GW bridge to go to the bronx street races, and while waiting in line at the toll booths my friend jumped out to put fuel in the car. It was over 1/2 tank and took a little over 1 gallon to fill it. Maybe 12 mpg?

This was back in the early 90's when i was just a young gun playing around on the street.

Well I guess I post up my 355 that I just retired a few months ago…

1st off I didn’t have the money ( & still don’t ) to run on the motor… so this whole deal including the gear & convertor was put together to run on the hose.

Stock 4 bolt block
Stock steel crank
Stock rods with Arp bolts
L2304 11 to 1 Speed pros that were used when I put them in 9 yrs ago!!
Speed Pro file to fit rings
Cleveite H bearings
Isky 602rr Roller Cam degreed 2 advanced
Comp Roller Lifters
Isky 1.6 rockers
Comp 100 long pushrods
Cloyes Hex adjust chain with button
Melling pump and pickup
Stock pan
Heavily Ported Cast Iron Bowties with 208/160 valves
Match ported Strip Dominator Manifold
850 Holly DP
PBM SFI Balancer
ATI SFI Flex plate
MSD Pro Billet Dizzy with 6 Digital Plus box
Big Shot Plate
1-7/8 Hedmans with 3-1/2 slip on collectors
3-1/2 Exhaust with 2 chamber Flow master.
TH 350 Manual VB
10” Continental Convertor… (a pig on the motor)
Tom’s 12 Bolt with 411’s

3425 lbs with me in it

12.30’s on the motor (I know lol)

On the Hose

Hurt a piston a few months ago and torched the block (didn’t lift in time)

Getting ready to put in a 11.6 to one 408 everything else will be the same
I wonder what it will pick up???
