This year its time to time to finish up the interior! I'm using the old headliner backing plate as a template for the new pui one that i got out of classic industries. I still need to make a rear new package tray and paint all of the interior plastic satin to match the dash. I'll post a couple when I'm done.

last year i took the car to the track a couple of times and got a best of 12.7. With the gauges in I can see now that I'm floating the valves at 6100-6200 so considering getting a rev kit but it might be a waste of time with a the comp 276hr. There is a discrepancy between my auto-meter in dash tach and the msd digital shift light of about 100 -200 rpm @3000rpm with the shift light reading the higher number. I'm still trying to fine tune the light to the shift and the time lag between everything sinking before my valves float.

Brakes still suck and I cant achieve lock up. I had it power bled and everything is new except the booster. They work and stop the car but I think I should be able to get them to lock up. Maybe I should try a manual 7/8" master for more pressure?

I'm thinking of changing the holley 650 dp out for a vac secondary 750.

Got started on the rear package tray today and forgot that the 6x9's mount only from underneath. I already marked out the lococation for the speakers on the hardboard so its mine now. The grills for my speakers require a top mount only so there's only one thing left to do and thats cut bigger holes for mounting. Another pain in the you know what but it would look horrible without the speaker grills installed.

Had to make the call to just mount them from underneath and just forget about the grills leaving me with a couple open holes in the package tray to deal with. I should be able to come up with something to make it look finished and not to tacky. Maybe i could glue in some speaker cover fabric under the tray so you cant see in the holes. In hind sight I should have got the deluxe package tray insert with the holes already there and blended in.

Everything is going to be black exept the rug, seats and door panels. I would change the seats and panels over to black if I came across one from a parts car that was in good condition but until then the interior wil be black and dark blue. I personally dont mind the contrast between the two colors now that the console matches the dash but all black would be better!
