Got the springs and spindles on today. Wanted to get a little more done but it started raining. I hate cold weather. Need to go order some rotors when I get some cash so I can get the front tires on it !

rain stopped so i got a little more done today. Removed the last of the stuff on the body. Well cept one more leaf spring. Had to use a hacksaw blade by hand to cut one of the bolts for the leaf spring pocket. I have 2 broke clips on the other side. Think I will just bring a torch home from work and get those off.

Who ever designed the clips to hold in the bolts for the leaf spring front pocket should be SHOT !!

I feel your pain. Someone pot welded some old subframe connectors to mine along with all the probs you had. The only thing I could get in there was a little 2" disc on a dremel to cut the welds. Lets just say I wasn't happy.

Keep up the good work though, your pounding away at it. How far of a drive are you from pensacola?

Weather was NICE today so I got some work done. Sway bar on, steering box on, "old rotors" on temporarily. So I could put the tires on. Cleaned off the cowl really good and went ahead and put a good coat of primer on it

Bad News.. The crossmember I bought off ebay last year is WRONG!! Not sure what Im gonna do yet. Build a complete new one, fix this oen to work, or just find another crossmember.

Bushings and spring mounts ready to go.
Started on the steering column. All stripped, painted. Changed rag joint out. Need to order a boot and regrease the bottom bearing. Should get this little project done fairly quick.

Too freaking cold to clean bottom of car for subframe install. maybe next week I can get the bottom clean and painted. Still have to cut out and replace a few holes in the floor. But I want to wait so I can do subframe connectors at same time, since Im cutting the floor for that anyway.

Subframe on today !!! Cleaned the front half of the undercarriage before the install. Holes to fix before I paint under there though.

The rest of the floor rust I have to cut out after the sfc's go in.

Rain was coming so I didnt want any more stupid rust after all that work inside today so I primed all but where I need to patch. Little sloppy but I was in a hurry. Got sprinkled on right before I got cover back on. Not supposed to get alot so hopefully it be ok. Oh and that stupid seatbelt aint coming out. I tried and tried. Its either cut the bolt and deal with all that or leave it in. Leaving it in for now.

Those are my patches. Worse inside in than underneath. Someone let this thing sit with no windows or just the leaks for along time. Really not near as bad as I thought before getting this far though.

Monday gonna get my SFC tubing and prolly start making some patch panels. I'm going to try and form them myself. wish me luck on that one

If anyone reads this far. Do I need to have the drain plug things(thats a technical term) in the floor or can I just have solid panels?

Looks good.
When I did my floor pans, I just left them solid.
