Yup all the weather seals are on. Hood to cowl seal too. No ac or fan holes in firewall (they are welded shut). Just the floor vents from the cowl. Sound deadner adn reflectix on everything but the doors too (ceiling included).
I drive with windows down though. Hers was 1/4 down on highway so didnt blow the daughter away though lol. I think its gone now. I was stinky from playing with exhaust so couldnt tell for sure. Will drive it tomorrow and see when Im clean. So I can tell if my stink is from the car or just me

Found my whine finally...
Pulled rear because I had some play in the pinion shaft. Checked carrier preload and it was horrible. I think the bearing must not have been pressed on all the way. I got play in it. Pulled carrier and looked at the bearings and races. They looked normal, no pitting or scaring or anything.
Ill go deeper tuesday at work if I get some free time. Not sure what all will need changed yet.

Got some new to me gears couple days ago from BondoSpecial. Thanks again 3.08 to replace my 2.73. Got the old gears out and the new gears mounted on carrier and pinion ready to go in. Tonight or tomorrow ill set them up in the rear end and check my pattern. If pinion shims are wrong I will have to wait till monday to redo those. But will see. Ill post pics later.

No the 2.73 were my gears that came with the bird. Think the rear I got from you was 2.43 or 2.56 or something like that. It was a 2 series carrier is all I remember for sure. I just used the axles and some brake parts/drums from the rear I got from you.

3.08 are installed. Rearend back in the car. Brakes are alot better now too Adjustment was way off on the ebrake cable which through off brake shoe adjustment. leaf springs are black now too.
Anyway, just got back from a test drive. Dont hear any whine except the gear drive Ill drive it more over the weekend but I think its good to go now. Will need to adjust the speedo gear but its fine for now.
First thing tomorrow though it gets a bath. Sap and pollen and leaves all over it. Dirtiest its been I think ever lol.
