Looks great Matt. I've got the same grinder and it worked wonders. I used the stripper wheels on the inside floorboards. It made light work of it but I went through a ton of them. I'm dreading doing the underside but I know I will have to. Great to see you made some progress.

Well unfortunately i dont have any progress to show... its been just too cold lately. BUT the weather should start getting a tad better allowing for me to get more work done. I was toying with the idea of a cowl hood but i believe i have talked myself out of it. Here lately i have been looking into wheels just to see if there were any styles that caught my eye. I like the billet Specialties streetlites. I have seen em on a few cars but not my color so i did a quick photoshop. Opinions?

Thanks Guys.
LOL Sorry DIO i just borrowed them :P
Spent a good time this afternoon teaching myself how to remove coil springs. Overall it wasnt too bad. Still got a few more parts left to remove. Spindles, a arms and motor mounts. But im getting closer. Here are a few pics of the work from tonight.
Keeping note of my shim locations.
After about 4 hours of work this is what i have left.
Here is my parts pile.
Not bad for a night. Tomorrow ill try to finish up the rest of it. Thanks for checking in. LET THERE BE PROGRESS!!!!!

I was beginning to worry about you Matt since I had not heard from you lately.
I like the wheel set up on that blue car. I think you should go for it.

So tonight i went out to the shop and finished stripping the frame. Wasnt too bad overall. Everything seemed in decent shape. Soon ill start stripping the frame in preps to paint it. However im at a fork in the road... I was planning on painting the frame with epoxy primer and eastwoods chassis black (already have it.) But with the weather lately who knows when ill be able to paint it. Thats what stopped me with the firewall.
So my question is this, Should i go ahead with my plans or should i buy a quart of POR15 top coat chassis black and brush the frame. It would cure without needing the 70 degree temp. Would it be as durable as the eastwood chassis black?
Another question i have, Do my spindles look like they are in good shape? They dont seem to have any real wear on them. Im new to the suspension aspect.
Passenger side:
Driver side:
And last but not least. Whats the best way to remove the control arm bushings? Is there a way to remove them at home?
Thats to nights progress. Tomorrow im going on the search for a house oven to be used for powder coating. With any luck ill have an oven from my parents for my birthday LOL Thanks for stopping by. -Matt
