Paint
I'm glad you had fun with it!! It was only temporary, so what tha hell. I've been quietly following your story and have to say great job!! We need more girls/women like you in the crowd. I'm lucky enough to say my wife is really into it also, as we're redoing EVERYTHING under the hood right now. Starting with rebuilding the engine to powdercoating everything else. Can't wait to see your car when it's done. Good Luck!!

I wasn't a fan of the temp paint job but I kept my mouth shut. LOL As long as you are having fun with the car that is all that matters. Can't wait to see what it looks like in the new paint. Make sure to post pictures when done.

WOW ! I think it will look awesome that color with black stripes.
As long as it was temporary I was cool. BUT then again if it was permenant then that is ok to. ITS YOUR car not ours. so it don't matter what we think.
Glad to see it get some paint!

A Quick Note
Good Evening:
It's nice to know that there are women interested in Living History (like specific fighter units in WW II). That is my favorite time period without a doubt.
Good color choices.
I'm sticking to the Red and Black colors with Clear once we get to the paint/body restoration which is a few years away.
Send some women like yourself this way to DFW, Texas.
We need more women with muscle cars in the local clubs participating in the various events.
Take Care,
Jim T, Red Bomber (even have a WW II airplane nick name for the car)

I as well have been sitting back reading this GREAT story about your Camaro, can't wait for the pictures of the NEW paint job. Right now it's -30c where I live (The Great White North), my Camaro is in storage for the winter and I am jealous reading these forums and seeing pictures of your car being sanded outside. Certain parts of my body would fall off if I tried sanding my car outside right now...ha ha.

Rani,
I think it's pretty cool you looked into the Flying Tigers and Claire Chenault.. good stuff.
I also commend you on staying true to "it's your car" and not getting all bound up in other peoples opinions.
Rock on girl

Disregard what I or anybody else thinks or says. Nobody on this site is a naysayer or hater of your car, just build it "Slightly Dangerous" and I'm sure everybody here will appreciate it. You go girl.

You are one cool chick! The fact that you are even doing this car is unbelievably cool!
And really, when members post about their opinions, it's really just a matter of personal taste. I'll bet that everyone here would rather you do your car your way, even if one of them might do something different.
Keep on keeping on

Good luck on "paint jail" the brushed aluminum with black stripes should make it as "one of a kind as it's owner" LOL. One thing I never heard you mention was unwanted attention for the tax collectors with guns. Out here in Jersey they would come up with some little known statute, that forbid any resembelance to a WW2 fighter plane and required a 6 month loss of license, $1000.00 dollar fine and 300 hours of community service! I truly appereciate all the folks on this board that think for themselves and don't worry about correct. It's your money, your time do it your way!

Rani, I haven't been in here in a while and just saw the "temp" paint job. I liked it! I was thinking "F-Bomb" (Google it) for my newest S-10 pro-streeter for a long time...Lime Green won out however....Dare to be different!

It actually looks close to being paint ready. They are working on it so that is a good thing.

I don't see any rust on it. That is a HUGE thing. It will look awesome when it is done.
