speedfreak1000's 81 camaro Z28
the short version of what ive done to this car in the years of owning it.
this is what i started with several years ago. checkout those gay colored stripes.
the wheels were bent and kept coming loose so i put these ugly a$$ wheels on for a bit.
got a set of 3rd gen wheels and redid them and painted those gay stripes.
then i put on air shocks and these wheels. i was happy with this for awhile.
put in a new motor and autometer gauges.
bought new wheels and tires and changed out springs for Hotchis
changed seats out for 4th gen firebird seats
now starting some body work cause time and weather have not been kind to her.

pics are soooo deceiving. all the clearcoat is peeling off and the entire passenger rocker is gone, and when i say gone i mean it isnt there.lol
ive got a rocker to weld in i just havent gotten that motivated. i just need to get back to the body work then i'd like to paint it back roughly the same color but with gray tri colored z28 stripes.

Love it man. As always. The last pictures of it washed and clean i have to say are the best pics with the new wheels. They really fit the car well. You have my favorite Ky car on the board.
That picture where you first changed the wheels. You said they were the ugly wheels, did you have a picture of your old camaro with those wheels? I could have sworn i seen another car u had with those wheels.

Thats crazy. I honestly thought at first it was a photoshop because i remembered a bridge or somthing. So i was alittle unsure at first. I like the Z28 ALOT better.

I would really like to know the specs on your latest wheel and tire combo, and also when you installed the 4th gen seats, did you use your orig seat tracks bolted to the 4th gen seats, or did the 4th gen seats just bolt right in? On the rear seats were you able to use the upper portion of the 4th gen rear seat? Thanks in advance, great lookin car love the color and wheels!

Where is Springfield Ky? I spent alot of time in Owensboro when I was stationed at Ft Knox back in the early 80's. I really liked it there.
Nice car BTW.

Springfield is near Louisville.
David, I gotta add it's a lot of fun to ride in, even if it was only on a beer run!

BOSS 338's off ebay. ordered them on a sunday and they were sitting at the house by Tuesday.
Wheels-18x8 FRONT
18x 9.5 REAR
Tires-225/40/18 FRONT
275/35/18 REAR done this way so the sidewalls would equal out
i used the old seat tracks and cut out some of the metal on the bottom of the fourth gen seats allowing the inner track to drop into place. that allows the seat to sit lower which i think looks better than some that are mounted up to high to were the headrest is to high.
the rears i added 5 inches of material to the middle of the back seat. not the correct way to do it but it only cost 7 bucks. it did make the hump cut out to big but it will work for now. i still have to get the one little crease out.
crappy cell phone pic
