Good looking car. Especially the red interior.

i have not done anything to the car recently (but I am gearing up, now that it is getting warmer)
But I have been looking for an "extra" set of 15" aluminum wheels for my car.
Craigslist netted me this:
2 nice 3rd gen Z28 wheels with mostly spent 275/50-15 drag radials

today I picked up a set of 4 Monte Carlo SS wheels, in need of some restoration, with 4 very new no-name band tires.
A little elbow grease and maybe some paint and I will be able to have an extra set if needed, but what I Really want it a set of Turbines.

My goal is to get everything buttoned up with the motor, and get it started this weekend. Wish me luck.
Also going to try to tackle some brake stuff too. Since I have never done this before, I am going to need all the help I can get.
If I can get it outside, I will finally get some real pictures of it.

Those Fusion HRI tires re actually quite decent. I ran a set on a Jetta a few years back. Nice N90's BTW.

Score ! picked up a set of seat side hinge covers on ebay this morning with a Buy It Now.
They are light gray (hate to paint them because that seems like a rare color), but I needed a set, and these were in good shape, and even came with the attaching pins.
Now if I could only find hinge bushings ....
I guess I will have to measure the shaft, and see what I can find at the hardware store.

It Runs !!!
Spent a Lot of time on the car this weekend, and it is getting close to being on the road.
Got a decent Z28 dash bezel over the weekend, and a decent right rear turn signal. So now I have a decent pair to replace the not-so-nice ones that are on the car now.

got the exhaust pretty much where I wanted it. Rolled it outside and let it idle ... until the starter wiring melted against the header and shorted together, making the starter turn until the battery died (took me too long to find the 10mm wrench to pull the battery cable. Now I have some wiring to repair !! and maybe a new starter ... it got Really hot. Never heard a starter run with the ignition OFF before.

everything is together. Current issue is that it will not idle.
I think the "rebuilt" quadrajet that I have is going to need some work.
Took it off last night to send to the local expert on Quadrajets.
Other than that .. I have a grinding noise in the front ... I am thinking wheel bearings maybe. I should have checked that when I put the new front brakes on.
