Man the car is awesome!!!! I really like the paint scheme, it's simple yet has nice detail. The wheel choice was right on as well!

Camaro Man - I am so glad you like the wheels...I got so much flack for them...Everyone said I should go with polished bling bling chrome look but I really like the cleaner "matte" slot wheel finish so to speak...there was actually about 5-6 people who commented on the wheels at the car show...finally someone agrees with me and for that I thank you...

Wow, you definitely outdone yourself. This is by far the best 76 I have ever seen. I personally would have chosen different wheels but that is all about personal preference. I love the split bumper rear and the front is also sick. Way to go awesome job loved the pics.

No problem! If you don't mind me asking what are the specs and price of the wheels? I looked throughout the thread and couldn't find that info. I believe (after a bit of internet searching) the wheels are DTM five spoke Bonspeed Detroit Speed Engineering. They look awesome and I am considering other wheel options for my '74!

The wheels look great; and if you like them that is all that matters.

You are correct, The wheels are Bonspeed...8x18 on the front w/ 245/40/18 Nitto NT05 & 9.5" w/ 285/40/18 NT05R on the rear...Bonspeed offers a 9" or a 10" but I didnt want to tub and so I wanted to stuff as much tire back there as I could so I had them make a custom size of 9.5"...they were expensive...I think I paid like $3k for all four...I may change them out so if you're in the market for some new Bonspeed wheels I know where there is a good set of 4 at an incredible 1/2 price...they dont even have one mile on them yet...LoL

IMO chrome wheels looks great for auto shows, and polished to have fun with your car in the streets because they are low maintenance. To me your car looks better with polished wheels, but your decision will depend in what you want to do with your car.

I dont know what some of you guys are talking about.. I have shiny Budnik wheels on mine, but I like these wheels too. They look like Fikse FM5 wheels. I dont think a change would make for better looking wheels on this car and at least they are not the ubiquitous AR Torqethrusts or similar.

I think the wheels perfectly compliment the car (not overpowering).

Get that thing buttoned up so you can enjoy it a bit and then later (if you're still inclined) you can "tweak your bling"... so to speak.

Congrats on the long journey's end... it looks amazing!

Nice! I may be interested if you put them up for sale...pm me if you do. I think they're sweet. Have you driven it at all to know if it rubs with the wheel/tire set up?

Thnx Eze...I do like my wheels...I wanted something that looked clean and not overly done...I have always liked those type wheels and when I saw them on DSE's website I loved them...I still do...Too much bling reflects too much and the Painkiller only rides at night...LoL...thats why everything else is blacked out...
