So what are your plans for your 76, besides driving it? Looks like you are building a track car.

Nice build. Dont let anyone give you crap about cheaping out the hinges, if there is a place to save money it is on the bling. I think you are doing a great job putting the money where it counts. I cant wait to see more pics of the rear bumper, great idea.

My plans is really just to have a bad ass street machine (for now)...she'll be a showroom quality pro touring kinda of a car...Recaro seats and all the cool stuff...but I am putting in a 10 point roll cage because ocassionally i do want to go to the track and I am sure it will bust an 11 sec. 1/4 and they will shut me down and not let me run anymore...so i am doing it all now when it is most cost efficient than later...I may also minitub while the car is in fabrication...I have already bought my rear end so I would have to cut and narrow to make room for bigger wheels, but if I am already mini tubbed than all i would have to do is drop the rear...i am trying to make sure i do not limit myself or box myself in to any one configuration...it will cost three times or more to change things later...

Thnx again to all for checking in...

Thnx Sidewayz - everything is expensive as hell already...too many things I want to do that cost...although the billet hinges are awesome, who will really see them when I am driving...and besides, they certainly wont see them from the rear when I am passing them by...LoL

I have a 76 as well, and I enjoyed so much following the thread to this point. Very impressive build. I freaken love the rear bumper idea. The rear bumper on the 76 weighs a ton.

What can you tell me on how you mounted it. What fabrication was involved, brackets, etc.

Regards

On another note...the Schafiroff Racing 540 BB is completed and has shipped...Should arrive at the shop by Friday or Monday...I will definetely post some pics of that...The Bonspeed Wheels are almost ready and the Lemons headers are in production...All is going according to my evil plan to rule the street...LoL
