I have used a clay bar on mine. Worked great. I use it with window cleaner not the detail spray that comes with it, and don't use it on your paint afterwords.

You can clean outside of windows using XXXX or XXXXX steel wool. Rub lightly. Will also work on inside but not if have aftermarket tint!

Bon Ami. GM used to recommend it in the owners manual. I used it on my daily driver to get rid of all the crud that windex couldn't touch.

if you use the steel wool method be sure to use ALOT OF GLASS CLEANER..even though 4and 5x is very fine it may still scratch the glass...

My vote is for Bon Ami. It will take all the film, water spots, bugs and about anything else off and not scratch the glass. I sprinkle some on a damp sponge and have at it.
