Actually got quite a bit accomplished today. No pictures yet until I get on my computer.
Got the rest of the wire wheeling/cleaning done on the underside of the car, and got everything undercoated. Also got the engine back on a stand, and started getting that cleaned up and ready for paint. Picked up the new line lock, so I should have everything to finish the brakes.
Finally got the springs back from the shop (apparently the bushings they had in stock were not the right ones and they had to order them in). Need to resandblast them and get them painted so they can be installed on the rear end, and get that back in.
Starting to feel a little A.D.D. with all of the jumping around- frame, engine, brakes, paint, rearend, etc. but I guess it all needs to work together.

Got the springs put back together, installed them on the rear end, and got the rear end partially installed.

Thanks! I can't wait to have more done. I am hoping to get the rear end in, get the engine painted, and the entire driveline installed next week. But we'll see if that actually happens. I still have a lot of work to do on my house in the next few weeks, before the new baby is born. And to top it all off, I am looking at selling my house and buying my grandparents farm.

Got the rear end installed, and that is about it:
With the time I haven't been able to put into the camaro, I did get the oak entertainment center built at my house. It is 12' wide, and 8' tall:
Maybe will have time to get the engine painted and installed this week, but I'm not holding my breath, work is crazy busy.

Just went through the whole thread...awesome job!
What did you use as far as paint for the underside and subframe?
Also, just curious as to how you did the floor pans...did you butt weld them or overlap them? I'm debating whether to do mine myself or pay someone else to do them (I want them to look seamless from the underside as yours do!)

Thanks! I had a friend help me rip some stuff on the table saw, but other than that I have done it all myself. I still have to stain and poly the doors, and install the shelves and crown molding.

It is actually a stock rear end out of a 79-81 trans am. You could get it as an option in those years. I found it on Craigslist with an almost new posi, and brand new 3.90 Richmond gears for $450! I pulled it all apart before sandblasting, just to make sure everything was set right.

Thanks! The subframe was actually painted rustoleum satin black out of a spray can. The body shop was backed up so we just painted it with that. The underside is done with Wurth under coating. I'm a big fan of 3M, but the Wurth is way better. The floorpans were butt-welded. It is more of a pain, but it gives a cleaner look under the car.
