It is 2k high build primer. Blocking isn't bad, I removed all the black paint by hand. That was forever!! I may spray the base coat, I will not spray the clear here. I can't keep it clean enough. The base I can wet sand.
I'm keeping the trim and bumpers black. The only chrome I'll have are lug nuts and centercaps! I'm thinking brite red with black stripes for paint. I'm going to do the wheelwells and rad support body color also.

Thanks for the encourgement. I think I'm going to leave the bumpers alone for now. Maybe next winter Ill want to mess with that. Im going to run out of steam on this. Blocking is going along nicely.

The weather is really nice here this week so I need to tend to and use some other toys.

She's out in the sun

Thinking carbon fiber on the scoop with a carbon fiber stripe down the center of the trunk. It'll have the 1/4" pinstripes

Just about ready for 2nd coat of prime and final block.

Heads up to all using factory hoods. I would not have noticed this if I hadn't been sanding. The factory has "fold areas" or "crumple zones" right in front of the hinges. They were very cracked!! I think the hood would have folded if I hadn't caught this. I left extra weld on there to be safe!!
