Thanks.

Plan to get the floors on order tonight. End up using my buddies dimple dies to make the passenger toe boards.

Just ordered up the driver side rear floor and the passenger side front floor sections. already had the passenger side rear.

Got to get the solid bushings installed and thinking about cutting out the existing subframe connectors in favor of the PTFB ones ive got. I dont think I will be able to get the bushings in if I dont do this.

Got the South Dakota license plate and registration in the mail yesterday. Still waiting on the floor sections to come in, looks like I will have them this next weekend. Till then, I will be working on getting the trunk cleaned up and painted.

Also picked up a clean TA steering wheel from the nutty-professor here in Jersey. Plan to have it recovered in a camel or tan leather.

I didnt think about the QQ plates for jersey to be honest. I see that it can be a historic vehicle and be driven more than just a few thousand miles per year. Also in im the military and dont plan to live in jersey forever. Ill look into those plates for the Camaro, and F100 this year for sure.

Working on the floors now. Got the passenger floors cut out. Fitted the rear pan. Still need to fab the toe board and get the driver side rear done.

Contimplating dropping the front suspension to clean it up and to put in the solid bushings. But that means the sub frame connectors have to come out, they are weld in and the stock bushings are worn out!

Been working on the Firebird alot. Have I mentioned im doing all of this outside? Having fun getting back into turning wrenches, and my new job has me off half the month, loving life!

-I have most of the trunk stripped and painted with POR15,

-I removed and rebuilt the headlight harness with all new wiring and connectors,

-pulled the main harness and wired in the autometer gauges and eliminated wires that are not needed.

-got the passenger rear pan done and painted with POR15.

- toe board made and half way done welding it in.

-got the engine wiring harness rebuilt with new wires and installed.

-installed the POS air conditioning delete box, what a pain the butt that piece of dookie was to work with.

-have all but the rear side panels sprayed with camel paint.

-----Engine is ready to drop in, but have to finally get the floors done.

Got the passenger side front floor squared away enough to stab the motor. A buddy came over and we got to work. First we finished up the power steering and transmission cooler install. We then cleaned up and installed the huge transmission pan. Looks like the trans has an agtermarket converter, and I believe it has a shift kit. We filled the converter and then got to work. I managed to break one of the bolt with attaching the trans to the engine. I thought we were done, but there was enough threads sticking out that we were in the clear. With thunder and lightning bearing down on us, we got the motor in the engine bay. The next morning I wrestled with the engine to get it fully mounted and bolted down.

I have also removed and rewired the head light harness and the engine harness. Here is the head light harness. I left the wiring for the washer and wiper alone as well as the brake low light. I used all new GM spade and female terminals that I picked up off Ebay. They were all crimped on using USA made wiring from Jegs, I used the 14 and 16 gauge wiring which I believe is SXL grade.

Almost forgot, also go the autometer gauges mounted. I will be replacing the cheapy Radioshack LED's with some from Jegs. The ones from Jegs have thicker automotive wiring and are a little bigger with a small chrome bezel.

thats a nice looking dash you got there, your doing some nice work to get this old bird back together. I was given an 80 WS6 w/ Y87 package as payment for a job but had to sell it because we were moving, couldnt move 6 cars. I still kick myself for letting that one go.
