1100834 alternator 37 Amp dated March 1970

Does anyone have info on this alternator? For what model, etc? Or a casting numbers link? Has double pulley, 37 Amp. Thanks.

For the Z the alt would have the single groove odd looking pulley on it though. Think you can buy the pulley at some of the Camaro suppliers, Paddock for one.

Smile 1100834 Alternator

I checked the 1970 Chevrolet by the numbers book and the 834 is a "base" alternator correct in all Chevrolets except the Corvette. It is "not correct" for any high performance motors like the L-78, LS-6 or LT-1 applications. These applications all call for the 1100837 alternator. The "834" would be correct for the 307 and 350 motors (except for the LT-1) without A/C. Information is from page 224. Hope this helps. LT1Z28 Cliff
