Looking for correct front and rear spiral shocks for my 70 z28. I realize it has been talked about here in the past, I want to confirm fitment of a expensive shock purchase and do it once. Now the rear spiral shock number is 3192282 and avalable from D&R classic. The front shocks part#3192132 are not avalable that i can find. Is there a source to buy the 3192132 front shock or do i have to use the 3192477 as a substitute sold from D&R classic,And will it fit the 70 camaro if i have to use it? Thanks Ron.

The correct front shock is currently not being reproduced so I just used a set of Monroes and painted them Gray. I will use then until the correct shock comes out.
Matter of fact I am using painted Monroes all around until I have a complete set of correct shocks.

I ordered the 3192282 for rear and the 3192477 with no part number stamped for the front. I will let everyone know if the front shocks fit. Judging by what i have read here on other spiral shock threads, it appears this is the only way to go.

    Ron any update?

Its been a while since I posted here, I'm still around and doing well. I'd like to replace the 30 year old shocks in my car and of course spiral ( OEM style) shocks are the prefered replacemnet. Resurrecting this old thread to see how Ron made out.

Frank I did purchase those shocks. They fit well. I do drive my car and have had no problems with the shocks or any handling issues.

    Ron,
Do you know what the difference is between 3192132 and 3192477 front shocks? I see now. Found the old thread about the 69 vs 70 having a shorter travel.

Yes I was aware or the shorter travel issue with the shocks. I used the shock anyway. I personally felt the shorter travel would not affect the use of the shock which it hasn't for me.

Thanks Ron. I need to decide what shocks I'm going to use on my 70.

Iam now going to resurrect this old thread ...lol . I also am looking to buy a set of these 69 Camaro spiral shocks for my 71 Z28 . the shorter travel that has been mentioned , will it be an issue on a Z28 , given the lower control arm bumpers that limit the amount of spring compression ? My car now has an aluminum headed bigblock and new Bigblock front coils . will the shock extend enough to be installed ?

My car still have the same shocks on it. No issues. If your car sits at a normal ride height. It should not be a problem.
