I have recently had my 454 rebuilt and dynoed by a local shop. I think the dyno #s are a little low and I would like some input please. The motor is a mark 4 454 bored .030 with stock stroke and rod length. Pistons are 23 cc SRP small domes. Claculated compression by the shop that put it together was 9.68. It has Brodix RR 270cc ovals and a hydraulic roller cam , .241 and .249 @ 50. Lift is 625 , 625 on a 110 and the lifters are Comp Cam short travel rollers. The intake is a Holley strip dominator with a Holley 850 street HP carb. It also has Hooker comp headers. It made 516hp and 529ftlbs all before 5400 and started dropping from there. Does this seem correct or do I have issues somewhere ?

I forgot to mention the spring pressure , seat is 150 and open is 385. Max lift .650 and spring height is 1.945

Do you have a full readout from the dyno?

I should have the readouts Tuesday when I pick up my motor. I watched them do about 5 pulls from 3500 to 5500 and 1 pull to 6000. I took a picture of one of the readouts because his printer was acting up. It was with their shop carb that was a 650 dp. I will try and post the the graph I have

I'd say that seems low. Does it have conservative ignition timing perhaps?

He only ran it on 36 deg. He did not change the timing on any of the pulls that I saw. I think that the #s are low also. I know they have been having trouble with the dyno. My motor has been on a stand at their shop for a month waiting on the dyno to be repaired. The dyno was loosing its load at 4500 rpms before. I think my motor was the first one on the dyno since it was taken apart and repaired
