I would like to purchase a set within the week for a sbc, has anyone used them before with positive results? Thinking about the horizontal bar with the springs vs the vertical bar.

I've been running them on the street since 03 with no problem but my cam is a mild Comp NOS street roller with 236-244, 556 lift.

Which ones are you running the vertical or horizontal bar. The guys at doug herbert told me that their horizontal bar are actual crane bought in bulk.
    My cam is a crower street roller, 256 262@ 50 630 lift 112ls.
How does the comp nos cam run? Notice a power difference?
    thanks guys

No info here about those lifters, but the Comp rollers are all pressure fed to the axle.

I think Chet Herbert, Doug's Dad made the first solid roller lifters way back then.

    Check me on this!!

I dont feel like putting on my flame suit this morning, HOWEVER..............I wouldn't by a book of matches from Doug Herbert. Everthing I have ever seen come from him has been inferior quality. If he truly is bying lifters from Crane in bulk I would make sure he's not buing them out of Cranes dumpster !
2nds, rejects, didn't quite pass QC, what ever you want to call his parts I call them junk..................

Oh come on Jeff,,, tell us how you really feel about Doug Herbert

I too have seen some pretty hoaky things come from Doug Herbert. For the most part if your buying a box of brand name stuff, it doesn't matter where your getting it from. The house brand stuff....... could be anything from anywhere! :(
