    Which year had those?
I have a 80' Z28 which doesn't have them but I guess it cause of the headers. How important are they?:D

Those anyone have pictures of the originals one?

I took mine off when I installed shorty headers.
(Never actually checked to see if they would fit after the install.)

Not needed.... I felt no noticeable difference without them.

There were a few different braces used on 2nd gens you can see in this thread. http://transamcountry.com/community/index.php?topic=68213.0

I'm working on a design for a brace that can be used with headers for most 2nd gen applications (Camaros and birds with various engines) and will add them to the website of Lab-14 products when they're available.

Saw the pictures. They are smaller then I thought!
Do I need to take the sub frame strip down to assemble them or can I install it while the car is completed?
If I don't need to take all the front end of to install it. Let me know when your braces are ready :)

The WS-6 braces are shorter and might work with your SBC headers. I looked at your project thread for pics but couldn't really see if they'd clear. You don't need to remove the sub frame to install the various braces. Will let you know when Lab-14 braces are available.

Those three styles got removed on a lot of cars that were factory equipped over the years for header clearance. If my design works out it should clear most headers on most of the engines being used in 2nd gen F bodies. I shipped your high clearance adjustable UCA stud brace yesterday, should arrive Thurs. Give me a call when you test fit.

Saw the shipping notification in my email, thanks. I'll let you know when I get it.

On my car, it looks like frame to lca mount should clear headers easily, but frame to lca to cradle like the Camaro style would be tough.
