I had a local shop build an engine using that first one in my engine with the 510, 533 lift. Have not fired her up yet. Hoping to have it running in the next 2-3 weeks. I'm still confused about the lobe seperation and how it effects torq, top end, and Vac. Can someone tell me what to expect with this cam?

This is what I have. 388ci. flat top pistons, RHS Alum 64cc heads, TH350 w/3400 stall and soon to have 4.10 rear.

My sons and I are using this car to take to the strip and weekend cruises around town.

This is my first build and tinkering with cars in over 20 years, so it seems like I am relearning everything as I go.

    Thanks

I wasn"t trying to save a few bucks..... Do they use poor or cheap materials to make the cam?????? What exactly makes them JUNK? Old type of grind? That doesn"t make them junk.

Could you answer any of my specific questions about lobe?

Im sure he meant junk as in they are old designs with old school lobe patterns.

That 114 means the RPM range is going to be later in the band....meaning your going to have to turn it more RPM to "get it to run" so to say. That also gets them to not have much overlap so its not going to sound too radical either.

They are probably alright for what your doing, but definately not good enough to be drag raced heavily.
