Does anyone know if the 1410207 or the 14010209 4 bolt 350 SBC engine block is a good casting for a performance build? Can anyone tell me if it is a one or a two piece rear seal? Did these blocks come in trucks or what? What heads come on these engines?
Thanks in advance for the help,
    John

The 207 block has right side dip stick and a 2 peice rear seal and only a good sonic test will tell if they are any good for a performance build. We have used many of those blocks for some of the circle track engines we have built over the years with no problems if they check out OK.

Thanks, that's really what I needed to know. What would a good rebuildable core block with heads be worth?

I have a 207 block in my turbocharged 80 Z. Its the original block for the car. So far, so good!

I believe they were produced 80-85 and are a drivers side dipstick and 2 piece seal.
