wheel tubs

    has any of yall used any of the wheel tubs out of summit.if so how are u putting them in.they are made of some crappy metal that will not weld right.any advice.what are yall useing.

    theres a whole lot of nothing said ^^^^^
    1) what r u using to weld with
    2) can u weld sheet metal? cause tubs are usually NOT welded in (i've never welded a set always used rivets or rivetscrews)
    3) what r u welding them to?

    oh yeah....there is probably a rust preventative coating on the STEEL tubs!!!

    ok there is some thin on it because all it wants to do is spit in pot and blow threw.i can weld prety thin stuff with a mig with gas on it.this is my first wheel tubs.so u pot rivit them in to the frame and whats left of the old wheel well.

    This is my first wheel tubs.So if i need to rivit them in can somebody show me a picture of theres to see if i am doing it right.thanks

    The tubs I received from Summit on the 68 Camaro I tubbed 4 years ago were aluminum, I riveted them in and used seam sealer/adhesive to glue them to the inner quarters.
