I'm trying to expand my basic knowledge on the 1970 Camaro. There is an 1970 Camaro 350 SS/RS for sale on ebay right now, that has rust all over. R/S front end appears to be orginal. The front end could have had a RS conversion at some point. Which leads me to my questioned.
Does the RS emblems override all SS and Z/28 emblems, when these options where order with the RS option?
With this Camaro has an RS front end, with the SS emblems on fenders and steering wheel. Is this how the GM identified these options? Thank you for your time. Shawn

Nice 70, of course wrong hood I insulation and the 70 didn’t have a chin spoiler. Lots can happen to these cars over the years, good questions for sure. That gold camaro is far gone, way more money needed to be put in it than it’s worth.

Ok, now Im going to learn some more. I have the rear short spoiler. I thought that it came with a front spoiler at the same time. 1970 camaros did not come with the front spoiler?

The front spoiler was deleted before the 1970 production started so only the small rear spoiler was available early in the year. Around April, Chevy started offering the large rear spoiler as a COPO option, and when so equipped, the front spoiler also was put on those cars.

Saw the google pics of this car. I bet the potential buyers are looking to part it...some good parts on it. This is surely a candidate for one of those aftermarket Real Steal bodies....

Pretty sure that was a Behind the barn find there. Not much to salvage on that car either.
