Hello folks, My father is selling a 1970 Z28 (or we've always believed it to be). But the last guy that came out to see it, said it wasn't a real Z because the cowl stamp wasn't what he expected to see. Now I don't know alot about this cowl topic, and I've been reading alot on the internet and their's mixed info on whether the Cowl's are a) always' stamped as a Z, and b) accurate between 69 and 70 production model year cars. I don't know what internet info to believe and what to brush under the rug. My question is, is there any way I can tell for SURE that this is a real Z28? The car is modified for racing (slicks, built up 302, etc...) So I know not all the motor and engine compartment chromed out, tranny and rear end parts are probably not going to match, but as far as the body and chasis goes, how do I tell if it's a REAL Z? Thanks for any help you can provide.
