Unless you can find a build sheet, it is almost impossible to document the RS package. It isn't coded into any of the permanent car parts. But, if it has all the RS trim parts, you can pretty safely assume it came as an RS.

The VIN should have an "L" in it.

I find the motor build date a bit questionable; there is over a month from engine build until the car was built.

    It is probably nothing.

Yes I thought it looked a little long also?? And yes there is an L in vin,,,

Next the last question What's it Worth???

Numbers match eng, trans 4 spd, 12 bolt
    Z28, RS
Body above average southern car, needs paint and lower front fender/door work
    Interior very good no holes
Under hood driver but has air cleaner and aluminum valve covers
Motor and trans rebuilt... With paper work

I know this is hard with out seeing the car but what I like about the car is the numbers matching...

    Thanks

They are asking 21K my gut says its worth 18K??

    $18K + $6K Paint + ? Engine Detailing = $24K+

What's it worth complete with documents??

If the body is solid (providing there are no surprises under the paint) and no documentation for the RS package I would say the $18,000 is probably close to it. Sort of depends on what else you've looked at, what they looked like and how much they were asking. Matching numbers will guarantee your investment can only go up. :)
