This is the restoration of a Code 60 Light Copper (looks Gold) 1973 RS LT Z28 with 788 Interior - Neutral Vinyl LT. M20 4 spd and numbers matching. The original intake and carb are missing along with the original air cleaner.
The owner - my brother- has had this car for close to 25 years and it was disassembled in his basement for the last 15 or more.

As a side bar *This was purchased to replace his FIRST CAR... which was a 1973 LT Z28 that was T boned in the parking lot of the grocery store he was working at while in high school in the late 80's.

The first car (code 26 Dark Blue) was bought new at Stott Chevrolet in Tryon NC, about 45 min away (now Stott Ford) Quain Stott is an IHRA ProNitro? Drag racer.
I found the first car in the mid 80's on the side of the road about 20 miles from where it was bought new... mostly original paint with wrong engine, paid 450... lol some pics of it first!

THE DAY IT CAME HOME! circa 1985

AFTER it got T BONED by a Senior Citizen who hit the wrong pedal!

Now onto the present project... the Light Copper Car!
~ THE REPLACEMENT... which is being RESTORED NOW ~

Nice find, luck on the rust. You keeping factory color? Factory paint style? It would be refreshing to see it that way w/o adding stripes.

Yes it will be the factory color and paint style, although I am painting 2 hoods for the car and he is putting aftermarket wheels, headers, etc more of a Day II look.
