I have tried to search the Forum for answers to my problem but not much luck.

1980 Z-28, Reassembling after painting with new Window Regulators and now no Power Windows. I found a Thread that mentioned a different style of motor in the new Regulator that wasn't "grounded" ?

Window Switch Harness has Power to the Pink Wire and Regulators operate when Power and Ground is supplied through a Jumper Wire either directly to the Regulators or when jumped through Switch Harness. Thought it's the Switch and ordered a new Switch but no luck.

    Any ideas ? ? ?

    Thanks

Were the doors off for repaint? I bet you have some frayed or broken wiring inside the door jamb boot(s)

Thanks for the reply. It's seems you're the "guy" when it comes to wiring.

I believe the Regulators have reverse polarity motors. The windows work when jumped at motor connections and when power and ground are supplied at Switch plug-in. I have grounded the motor housings directly to the battery and have power supplied by Switch and jumper wire at motors and they do not work until ground is supplied to the opposite wire the Switch does not supply 12 volt to. Am I correct in thinking these are reverse polarity motors.

Do you still sell the Relay Harness which will make this set up work ?

Yes-that would indicate reverse polarity motors. There are a few options since you have newer style motors tho!

    Stock window harness $146
    Stock w/relay upgrade $179
Stock w/relays and auto down $209
    Stock w/relays, auto down/up $239

What is my best option for using the Regulators I have now with the OEM Switch ? Since the motors require reversing polarity through the wires it seems some sort of Relay set up must be required as the OEM Switch doesn't have enough wires to supply the needed ground.

Do you ship to Canada and if so what from of payment do you accept ?

    Thanks

You’ll need a newer style switch as well which I have on hand-your OEM one wont work. With a relay trigger/upgrade you’re looking at $195 shipped to Canada. I sent you a PM with my paypal info.
