Pulled the Z out yesterday and dusted it off and went for a ride. After 37 years it is still a cool ride -not the fastest, but that 4 speed brings me back to the summer of 1979:cool:

It is nice to see people who have kept a car that long. I have my '70 Camaro now for 46 years this month.

    Lookin' Good, Glen!

Guess I'm still kinda new at this..... I've only had mine for 25 years. ;)
(And a 78 for 11 years prior to that.)

    Cool!
I know with mine there have been several times over the years that I almost had to sell it, a new house or another kid etc., but I was lucky enough to be able to keep it and not end up with the regrets over having sold my Camaro. :)

Yes, there were other temptations like getting something newer that definitely came into play too, especially as the horsepower started rising over the years.

Beautiful car Glen. I still have my 1978 Z28 I bought new in July of that year. There have been a few times thru the years that I thought about selling it, even listed it for sale at least once, but I hung onto it. Now I am very glad I did. I enjoy it every time I take it out.

Thanks! Seeing the 78 Z is what got me back to Camaro -I had a1971 SS350 and then went with a 75 Trans Am after that, when there was no Z offered. I sold the Trans Am to my mother when I bought this 79Z.

    Hmmm

With the exception of new paint completely untouched. 1 owner 67K miles. Orig interior, motor, sheet metal etc. Had original paint but was badly faded. Didn't have any choice but to paint. I'm really loving the color. I don't see many this particular color combo.
