Mine has 30k miles and the paint and everything is original -the paint looks good buffed up, but was bad from day one. The underside of the rear bumper cover barely has paint on it LOL.
Mine has a 4 speed & 373 posi. but is a stripper, with crank windows, door knobs to unlock the doors an AM radio with 1 dash speaker and No AC.

    Hmmm

Yeah my guy wanted a few more creature comforts. AC, power windows, cruise, and am/FM 8 track. I think he got all the courtesy lights available too. Luckily everything still works. Love seeing another like mine. Thanks for posting.

Your car looks great. What a great story too. Its amazing that you didnt sell it. I pulled my 79 Z/28 out a few weeks ago when we still had snow on the ground. I have only owned it for 7 years. Just put the original style Goodyear Steel Belted Radials on it. I got 36,000 miles on this one. Was ordered by a GM employee with basically every option available.

    Agreed...

My dad bought my Camaro new in '71... so not quite one owner, but been in the family since new. Since he's no longer alive, it's like having a piece of him with me whenever I take the car out for a drive.

    Beautiful Z's

This is my brothers 1981 Z, which he's had since 1981. I've been working on it over the last year, cleaning it, replacing bushings, etc, and just tightening things up and bringing it back to life.

This car only has 18,000 miles on it, and its a beauty !

I always loved that dark blue! I did the same tires last year. The funny thing is that, like mine, almost all of the 79s had Uniroyal, but the dealer picture that I have shows it with the Goodyear Polysteel Radials (Which some early 79 Zs would have had.)and the same color as mine, but with your rims.
