I consider myself a very fortunate man meeting and marrying my wife of 45 years. She knew when we met that I was a car guy and that was not going to change and she enjoyed the hobby as much as I did, weather it was Drag Racing or just going on cruises/shows. A good marriage is a two way street, and I always participate in her hobbies. The only advice I have (worked for us) is make sure your significant other enjoys your likes

Congrats!! 35 years for me,having similar/truly shared interests is the key,my wife is my best buddy,we just had a talk about how cool that is last weekend.I used to get ribbed about being "whipped" but I'd tell my dad/friends when they'd do it that I enjoy her company more than theirs for non-important functions-
Learned years ago,she is still my wife/a woman though so the bluntness we use as guys doesn't fly! I called her stupid in 1987 and I still ocassionally hear about it! "like that time you called me stupid" Congrats and many more!! Later Steve!!

Congratulations! And she must like your humor! LOL. We sure do. I somewhat agree. I have always been a car guy and my wife knew it. Also played all kinds of sports and she knew that. She doesn't care for either but she respects that I do and I fully support what she wants to do. She is a great wife and mother and that is all I asked of her. I was married 42 years in November. Something worked!

Congratulations! It's 31 years for us (and second marriage for both of us). So far, so good. Oh, and I bought my Camaro when I was "between wives" ;)
