Put this 427 in place of a 350...No problems at all...Used the 350 motor mounts, bought some alternater brackets and a cheap set of Summit headers and bolted it right in...With a flat hood I would have run a Torker II or old Edelbrock streetmaster for hood clearence but did some trimming on the z28 hood and ran a Weiand 8013 dual plane...I did put new small block TRW front coil springs in it to keep the front end up...If you run stock clam shells on it you may have to grind a bit off the drive side shell to clear the headers...I had to do that...That car was a real sleeper and was lazer straight with absolutely zero rust......It was a real L88 short block with an original L88 cam and 781 heads with 2.25s and 1.88s...I ran Schubeck solid lifters in it...M-21 4 speed and 4.10 gear...Ran 11.80s w/10.5 slicks all day and if I could have shifted better it would easily run 11.50s...Sold it to a friend who changed to an UltraDyne 630 solid, Strip Dominator, Powerglide, 4 point cage and 4.56 gears and went 10.90s

wow that looks like a factory install, were putting a 454 in the gf's car after i finish up the bodywork. were going to keep the stock manifolds to keep costs down and keep it simple.

You're going to need a different flywheel for the 454 because it's externally balanced and the 350 is internally balanced.
