Yes they are. I adjusted the throttle body butterflies this morning as per that thread over there. Now headed out to have exhaust welded.

What are the a/f ratios now with efi? Do you start up easier than with carb?

The A/F ratios are essentially the same. And to the second question, no. It started perfect with the carb too.

However, cruising and WOT are much better with the EFI. I know that I did not have WOT on the carb setup right. I think it was a little rich on WOT.

Thx,I would like a efi if it would stop the un burned fuel condition with a large cam.

It's true that the smell of gas is gone.

Made a bunch of changes tonight. Power Tour about 3 weeks from now....

    1) Changed header gaskets (3rd time). Used steel core square gasket next to head and round copper gasket next to header, sandwiched. So far, so good.
    2) Decreased vacuum advance ALOT. Haven't checked timing yet, but pretty sure it was advancing too much.
    3) Adjusted idle some more on EFI.
    4) Checked for exhaust leaks. Didn't find any (wish I could pressurize system with some colored smoke.)
    5) Removed vacuum gauge under cowl. Redundant with EFI. Wanted to eliminate vacuum leak possibility. Checked for vacuum leaks.

    Next things to do:
    1) Nail down idle.
    2) Verify no exhaust leaks.
    3) Mount/secure/insulate Fuel Command Center.
    4) Aim headlights. Check all bulbs and lights.
    5) Deal with splotchy looking wax job. Not sure how yet.
    6) Prepare tool box for trip. Small/lightweight.
    7) Put spare tire in trunk.

I'm sure there is plenty more. It's raining this week, so won't be until weekend that I can get her on the road again.

Finalizing things before Power Tour. Still working on the EFI setup. I reset that to the defaults and essentially started over from scratch. Had to play with timing today also. Will pull plugs tomorrow to ensure nothing is haywire. I did get the cracked door handle replaced. Those two little nuts are a PITA. Luckily, my wife's hands were small enough to get in there and get them started. Made a bracket and mounted the FCC properly. Brakes seem to be coming in. I might need a vacuum canister or worse case scenario, a pump. We'll see.

Haven't updated in awhile. Been over in the Chevelle Forum getting FiTech help. She will make Power Tour, although I can't say for certain if she'll make it the whole way. I will post pics of the trip here. I may share some to the FB page too. In any event, I have been planning new motor build. I intend to pull the trigger on this around Christmas, with the wife's approval, of course! LOL.
