I know many here have done this swap, so how are the seats? I am 6'4, and finding out that the stock seats suck. So im looking for some different options for easy bolt in seats. Going 4th gen makes sense because they are a relative bolt in.

Id like to know how much lower do the seats sit, especially for someone as tall as i am.
Also, how far back do the seats recline? Pics would really help my decision.

My Gpa is 6'9", and can hardly get in and out of my 95 Camaro. Extremely uncomfortable, I hated my seats. But also seams to be a popular swap. Maybe they seat better in a different car, never tried

You cannot use power seat motors, they make the seat sit too high.

    Finally back home!!!
I know from when I had my 4th gen that they reclined far enough for me to pull off and comfortably take a nap when I was on a road trip. I sold that car over 4 years ago so I can't help with pics

Depending on how you do it they can sit a lot lower then the factory seats. I set the seat back two inches with the adapter (lack of a better word). The drivers seat is out of the Nova (exact same modification as the Camaro) right now so I can get pictures of exactly how I did it if you would like.

That would be a huge help Dave.

As for not being able to use the powered drivers side, im ok with that, manual seat track with lower seats is what im after.

If you want to check my build thread in my sig I have taken the 2nd gen seats out and put the rails on the 4th gen to show what needs to be done. It's on the second page post 17. I haven't done anything yet to make them fit.

I've done forth gen seat a couple of different ways. This is my favorite and IMO the best.

My high tech spacer to bring the seat up.

Now my Camaro I made a short extension from flat stock and bolted one end to the factory slides and the other to the seat. I used a much taller spacer and the seats were still much lower then the factory seats. You might have to play with it a bit. Notice I had to clearance the adapter on right (as we look at the picture) to clear the lock for the slides. A higher spacer could have eliminated that. I'm not a tall guy but I need significant "belly" room

How much did the steel cost you Knuckle? I like that idea a bit better than mine because it may cost me less. :p
