    I have a 1978 LT Camaro.

Will a 5.3 with truck accessories and a truck intake clear if I have a cowl hood?

I would think so, I'm fairly certain the 5.3 would sit lower than the air cleaner/carb setups we typically run on our cars. How tall is your cowl?

Yes. My truck intake clears with a 2" cowl. The only spot you will have to massage is the spot over the alternator, the hood will close but it rubs. I would almost bet you could fit it under a stock hood if you shaved the intake.

Any aftermarket brackets that will let you stay mostly stock truck, and move A/C?

For anyone interested, these are the parts that I used for the short Corvette Water Pump configuration:

Water Pump ~ AC Delco 251-726
Power Steering Pump ~ AutoZone 63106
Power Steering Reservoir Kit ~ Holley 198-200
Power Steering Pulley ~ Chevrolet Performance 12568997
Driver Side Bracket Kit for Alternator and Power Steering Pump ~ Holley 20-135
Accessory Drive Bracket Kit for SD508 A/C Compressor ~ Holley 20-132
Harmonic Balancer ~ ATI Super Damper 917266

I was able to use the truck alternator that came with the 6.0.

I used dirty dingo mounts on mine. You can get just a bracket for your A/C. I got the one that uses an R4 compressor so that it runs off from the serpentine belt, but the have all different options. I also used their mounts that let me use the truck alternator, and P/S pump with the LS1 car intake. By using the truck P/S pump, I was able to easily use the truck hydra-boost brake system, including all of the lines and hoses too.
