6.0 question

    ok guys i just found a complete dropout 2004 6.0 with 120k on it out of a chevy van. first question is is it the same as whats in the truck and will the swap be the same? second they want 800 for it wich sounds like a deal what do yall think? he said i could hear it run before they pulled.

    Yes, there might be a few differences in sensor location (I'm thinking mainly emissions sensors), but the wiring and actual engine are the same. At 800 bucks, you better act quick, they don't last long at that price.

    I put an 04 van motor in my 02 truck. The main differences which probably won't affect a swap, is the intake manifold, motor mounts ( I think the engine side mount was the same, but the vehicle side was different) water pump (IIRC), and a few of the sensors were different, which made the wiring harness slightly different.
