I know some people think the 69 camaro is the top dog camaro. But I've always liked the 68 camaro. So I got to thinking of maybe throwing a wtt ad on craigslist. Are the first gen camaro prices so far over a chevelle that im just dreaming? The 70 has a lot of the fun parts 454 4 speed 12 bolt, discs, buckets console etc. but no paint. Its been red oxide primer for 15 years. Or the 66 is a basic 350 4 speed 12 bolt, disc brake, bench seat car. I think im just bored and looking for a new project, but dont want to make a mistake ill regret later. Jim

I like the chevelles. Always wanted a 67.
Out of the 1st gen Camaros I like the 67 also. I see way 2 many 69s at shows/gatherings.
Well there are my useless thoughts.
I think you just gotta look out for a good deal which over the years you have had some good deals and nice cars.

Yeah the First Gen Camaros are just too common....I rather have something a little more unique and interesting.

I would love to have a 67 chevelle, but too rich for my blood. I have the pro street 69 Camaro, and my daughters 67 Camaro but they both found me. Not the other way around.

Back in the 70's I had chance to buy a 69 350 SS Camaro and the other was a 69 SS 396 Chevelle. Both needed some work but after driving them the Chevelle was the better car hands down. Funny thing the SS396 4spd. car only cost me $300 and it wan't rusty. If we had only know what this stuff would be worth now.

69 camaro is king of camaros
70 Chevrolet is king of chevelles from what I understand

Both 1st Gen Camaros and 65-70 Chevelles are crazy money.

You got that right. I couldn't afford to buy my 70 Chevelle back if it came up for sale.

at a cruise in I'd stroll right past any 67-69 Camaro (TOO common) but there would be a crowd around ANY Chevelle...well other than the 74-77s
