    I've had this car for about 13 years... drove it around a little bit for about a year, then parked it in my shop. I've been collecting parts for years to bring it back to original condition, and started on the rebuild about a year ago. It's a real Z28 RS, but parts were pulled off through the years and it was painted a couple of times. It was red when I got it, but original Hugger Orange car.... so she is going back to Hugger. I have the engine completely restored and fired up on an engine stand. Here are some pics, I'll add more later. A lot of metal has been replaced, and all the gaps are getting dialed into perfection! This is gonna be a beauty!
    Hoping to have it all done by end of 2019

    The Red/Black was the color before I started the restoration (shown in the pictures)... the factory color is Hugger/Black and it's going back!

    Looking good, how was the body on your project? Any rust issues you found as you were going through the restoration process. Subframe and control arms look clean, very little scaling or surface rust prior to painting.

    nice car!!

    I am curious about your car's build date.

    I don't come across many 1970 paint code 65 cars;
    I did come across a memo of sorts suggesting it was a special 'spring color' - previously I had heard that it was special order, but i believe that might have been in error, as it appears as though the colour was special in that it wasn't offered the whole model year.
    My car is a first week of June build date.
