Just got my RS/Z back from my body paint/ detailer guy. I removed aftermarket A/C and had him reinstall the original blower/ ducts/ heater core. He had to repair the hole cut for the condenser drain as well;(.

He did not paint the nuts where the blower motor mounts to the firewall; said he didn't think they were painted from the factory....

Anyone have some good pictures of an original, non-A/C car? Would be great to have a reference, so I can make things just right while she's still missing a motor.

Also, how did the fuel tanks come from the factory? Thinking about going FI/ tanks inc, but I'd still like her to appear as original as possible.

Fuel Tank was Galvanized Metal...No Paint No Undercoat
Note: How Jack's Gas Tank Straps had been oversprayed
with Orange Paint .....However this is not often seen on
    survivors ?????

ABOVE was Jack Seymours Infamous 22K survivor
You might also search Charley Lillards web site to
    see his 1300 mile Z28 ????

I do not think that the studs were painted.....
and my own 70' R/S SS "survivor" has unpainted
    blower housing mounting studs......

Thanks, I wondered why the heater box was a higher gloss paint. Also noticed the single blower motor wire. Don't think I'll be adding the sealer though.
