I'd be all over that if the body isn't rusty. I have a '76 Monza 2+2 with a built 350/4-speed...

If you do nab it come over to www.h-body.org . Not quite the Nasty but close. Lotta info on V8 vega conversions there...

A little off topic from the OP's question, but does anyone recall Vegas being shipped from the factory like this? Possibly going overseas?

They could fit a whole bunch more on a rail car that way (30 versus 15), that kept the price on the Vega low. I read the Road and Track review about a year ago, having read that review I would have bought one. OK I did, but not from the review, needed something cheap to drive. I blew two engines in them, $50 at the yard for a new one. removal was simple, pull head off block, toss onto trash pile, remove motor mount bolts, trans bolts, get into engine bay, lift block up and set on top of fender, get out of engine bay, toss engine block onto trash pile. Would love to do a V8 one, I did love driving the one I had, even with the 4 banger. My friends Loretta and Tom had Cosworth ones that they auto rallied, now those ran great. And somehow my friend Nancy got over 140,000 miles out of her 74 or 75.

Looks like three mini Camaro's parked in the garage:

with the thinner early bumper cars , people would cut the bumper and give it that " split bumper " look .

Like so, I built this one a few years back. Never did finish the bumpers the way I wanted before it sold.

I put S-10 rear axles in a Monza housing, Monte Carlo front spindles and brakes to convert everything over to five bolt wheels.
