I normally don't like wagons. But I like that wagon! Camaro bumpers are sexy so there!
Let me be the first to tell you I told you so, but flat finishes are Horrible to keep. The pictures you see don't show how pooty the car looks after a couple of months. Flat paint is a horrible fad that I can't wait to see die.
I would be more inclined to clean up what you have and salvage the patina with a clear. Let's see a pic of the car.
Just trying to post a pic of MY Monza:
'76 2+2 with built 350/4-speed...
Sure I don't mind throwing up a bit more.
The more I look at it the more excited I am about it, Wierd. but it looks like it's in excellent condition for a vega.
the more I think about it with the tan interior I want to go that Kandy apple red /maroon or cranbury.
My kids want me to paint it like my srt-4 blue.
8-track anyone? lol
First thing I am doing is tint the windows in the back thou. Save the interior from fading. I was thinking of putting that checkered flag tint on it. Instead of 5% black.
Now if anyone wants to get rid of two stock camaro 15x6 or so rally rims let me know. I have two already from my 72 that I took off.
Peel all that door/beltline trim off and save it. You may want to put it back on later. Or somebody might want it.
That looks like a pretty good wagon to me!
The last one I had was a GT wagon.
I would lean towards the Candy Red with a tan pinstripe to tie into the interior. I always wanted the Pontiac version, the Astre. It had a really cool front fascia, kinda like a Firebird. The sedan and hatchback also had the slotted tail lights.
I've been wanting Denali's car for quite a few years now. I thought he sold it when he never got back ahold of me. I had the cash then.
That Vega looks solid! Gonna make you a great project car! Congrats!
You wanna sell it?
