78 camaro wont start.

    Is that the purple wire there in the photo? If so, where was that wire attached? It supposed to go to the "S" terminal, and it should be the only wire on that terminal. Just double check to make sure you have 12 volts on that wire ONLY in the crank position.

    Just the thick black orange and red. No purple wire. I check yesterday and it did have 12 volts. Took the starter to get tested and everything came out good.

    MY eyes must be failing me, I swear that the smaller wire on the left looks purple. Sorry.
    OK, which color wire had the 12 volts with the ignition switch in the crank position only?
