I have a 77 Type LT with Turbo 350, floor shift. SOmetimes the shifter feels very stiff. Also, sometimes when I shift to park, the column does not fully rotate and I have to manually grab it and rotate it counterclockwise to insure that neutral safety switch is in the correct position to start the car. My question is, where are the adjustment or lubrication points that I look at to make shifting easier and to help get the neutral safety switch in the correct position without having to grab and turn the steering column... Thanks in advance ...
Ooops, a 2nd thought also... Could the cable have "stretched"? To my knowledge, it is the original cable?

There are a set of rods that go from your shift linkage to the column. Take a look under the hood you'll see where the linkages hook up to the column. You'll have to get under the car to inspect the transmission side.

You could start by lubing them up and making sure nothing is interfering with them.
