Trust me, I'm just as sick of seeing this car without paint, but we are getting really close now. Pulled it out of the garage, blew off most of the dust, cleaned out the bays, and basically got ready to spray, which will be happening soon.

It's also the first time I've seen the car outside with the flares. I'm pretty happy.

I did something similar to mine. I got a number of Krylon flat black and white rattle cans .While I was saving my money for my paint job.The car was mainly black and I mast out my 1970-3 SS stripes ,So it wasnt a multiple of colors .While working the "bugs" out of the car.

Love the look and stance, and awesome job on the flares, looks tuff as nails!!

It's a long road in the prep dept. for sure, beats you up, but is going to look so great in paint.

Body work is done. I have a mechanical thing to fix, and then some prep, but in about a week it should be in color.

    It's a giant go kart!

It is going to look so good in all one color. I know the prep thing. My car was in great condition and I still had about 150 hours in stripping, filling, prime and prep for paint. A job you can be proud of but never want to do again.

I hope you made molds for those fenders.

    So, I did something dumb...

Yeah, I'm totally ready for this...

    Well, I'm a little closer...

To further call out my own stupidity - I paint the car next week. July 13-28 I'm out of town for work, basically taking out any work time in July after the second week. I then need to get to the dyno in the first of weekend of August. I lose the 16th to 18th because my band is playing some New York gigs, which leaves ONE local event on August 24th, one week before Nationals, for me to shake this sucker down.

Hey, at least it will make for a good story... hopefully.

Yep, that will work out. I broke the rear axle on mine the first year, one month before Nationals. I did make it, but probably should have waited till the next year.
