So what's the hot engine mount set up?? I've got Energy Suspension mounts which came with the car and fit early 70 frame stands, with the addition of either Lsx innovations or Car Shop engine setback plates, any good?
Alternatively, Hooker plates along with clam shell mounts, waddya think guys?.....here's a pic of what I have.

I went with Lsx Innovations adapter plates, I paid a little extra for the steel adjustable version.

Do these keep the bell housing flange of the LS1 in the same location as the factory sbc? I wouldn't mind trying to fit a LS in mine at some point if I can keep the bell housing and transmission in the same location. If not I will keep my sbc, it all bolts up and I have the drive train geometry all worked out.

The non adjustable plates will move the engine forward 1 inch, you need to get the adjustable plates.
