That color choice is awesome!!! I'd love to hear the engine running.
That does look awesome!
That color will look really good in the sun, good job!
guys thanks for all the comments, the colour came as a result of trusting the gent doing my body work to come up with the custom paint, I cannot wait til spring time Onthat note thanks to advice on this site I have now started to rip off the anodize covering on my bumpers and also start the interior work. The pictures are a bit off due to lighting ( the first picture is the closest to how it comes out) I used SEM Vinyl dye Palamino to match up with my saddle carpet and seat covers. The results are fantastic, the goldish brown interior will blend nicley with the secondary black in the interior. The kick plate shows the old brown colour that I really didnt like
On a side note i discovered that the missing fins on my drivers kick plate are not in fact broken but the plate comes from factry with those two areas open with no fins, in fact the repop ones are incorrect to have a fll set of fins in the vent.
The bumper started with 120 grit on a rotary sander then 180 then 220. I then used SOS soap steel wool pads before i go into the next phase of buffing. results were eliminating the cracked and faded anodize finish, removing several scratches that were in the alumium and obtaining an almost chrome like appearance. Today was atest to see how long the process will take. Im planning on a full day on each bumper
Well I’ve been negligent on posting but the car has been completed and on the road for the summer so i have been driving and cleaning it rather than posting. Final outcome was much more than I even expected. Sanding the anodizing off complimented the fresh paint and interior to make a really nice driver grade car. i went with black SS stripes, kind of went with a "what if the oil embargo didnt occur" attitude of what would a 77 camaro look like of they kept the BBC 454 in a SS variant.
Wow, that is NICE, congrats on the super resto work, glad your enjoying it.
Looks fantastic! You really made short work of it compared to my progress. Enjoy the ride!
Congrats on the job.
Sweet ride - nice and clean. Ever consider a drop base 3" filter? Im thinking that shallow filter may be a bit restricted.....just a thought
Nice job! Car looks great, Nice and clean. Enjoy your retirement!
