Sounds to me like you're trying to deflect from the facts.
If it were Patriots fans that created that list, why are the Patriots still in the upper half of the cheaters in the NFL?
The Donkey's cheating is well documented. Turning a blind eye doesn't change the facts.
Right on, the old "You can't win the argument you started so shift the focus" ploy
LOL, you gotta try harder then that man. No need to try and change the narrative from how bad the contract was for Cousins and how hard the fan base got had for believing the hype.
The "facts" are Aaron has one super bowl ring and that's more than the Vikings have ever had. So in short I guess Aaron is better then your whole team, now and ever? Stats are for geeks, wins when they count are what competition is all about.
What was/is so bad about Cousins' contract. It wasn't even a top 5 when signed in 2018 and has never been the highest cap number.
2018 Cap Numbers for QB's:
1. Jimmy Garopollo - $37M
2. Matt Stafford - $26.5M
3. Derek Carr - $25M
4. Joe Flacco - $24.75M
5. Andrew Luck - $24.4M
2019 Cap Numbers
1. Matt Stafford - $30.7M
2. Aaron Rodgers - $29.672M
3. Kirk Cousins - $29M
2020 Cap Numbers
1. Jared Goff - $36M
2. Ben Roethlisberger - $33.5M
3. Kirk Cousins - $31M
Now let's look at 2021 numbers
1. Matt Ryan - $39.175M
2. Aaron Rodgers - $36.352M
3. Carson Wentz - $34.674M
4. Jared Goff - $32.5M
5. Russell Wilson - $32M
Kirk Cousins - ZERO
Many people looked at the $84M guaranteed and equated it to a one year deal, which it wasn't. It was $84M for three years - and spread out over 3 years. Unlike Rodgers who actually received $80M+ in the first 12 months of his current contract.
Amount of Superbowl appearances. Past, present and most likely future.
You don't know that. You hope and pray that to justify your narrative.
Who expected Trent Dilfer to play in a SB, much less win it?
Who ever thought that a QB could make it to the SB only completing a total of 17 passes???
It just happened this season. Jimmy G completed 6 passes against the Packers and 11 against the Vikings.
Jimmy must be pretty good at handing off the football, because his passing skills didn't beat the Packers or the Vikings. And he's one of the highest paid QB's in the NFL...
Oh, I know it and 31 other teams knew it too. You just can't stand to be wrong and you want him to be the guy so bad it blinds you to the fact he just doesn't have "it"
Now I’m not exactly a cousins fan, I hope he does well because he “is” our qb. But not overly impressed. Yeah stats he’s got, but I have not really seen him “elevate” the teams play. Looks like he just takes what’s given, and sometimes that works but sometimes you just gotta take chances and huck that ball around. Can’t stand around all day waiting for the perfect pass, you’ll get smoked. He just doesn’t have “it” hopefully beating the saints will be the bridge crossing for him but I honestly think he’s he most overpaid backup quality qb there has ever been.
Haha - you’re probably right given the #FireGoodell tag in that website footer.
But hey - don’t let facts get it the way if you’re oh so clever responses.
Give us Northeasters a break - we may be facing a Brady-less future after only six championships.
I think NE may still be competitive in the AFC next year with uncle Bill but I see KC having a shelf life of several years and we’ll see if Baltimore can come back and if the Titans get a decent QB.
I’m thinking KC in an easy win over SF.
