    Wow, only $5,000 for a $120,000 car.

I'll be interested in learning more about this one as well. .

    "RARE 1978 FIREBIRD TA CONVERTABLE

This IS the Car They Said Didn't EXIST because it is a FACTORY ORDERED FORMULA

    Built on a TA frame."

    ummm.....

Is it a TA, or a Formula?

Both the Formula and the TA were built on the same unibody "frame".

In 1978, Pontiac built 24,376 Firebird Formula's and 93,341 TA's. Not one of them was a convertible when it left the factory.

Bogus claim, no factory convertible ever built in that vintage !! Our family was buying new F-bodies back in 1978 thru 1981 and there was not ever a FACTORY option for a ragtop,PERIOD.

Why would the factory order a car?

Yes, the frame comment is dumb. I don't think they really know much about the car.

It's a convertible with the optional roof drip molding. Lol
I've had a few convertibles including my 68 camaro that i have now and none of them have had the optional roof drip molding! it must be a one of one!
