    FOR SALE:
    $850

If you live in Arizona then you are lucky! That is where I am located. If you don't, shipping will depend on where you live so if you are interested let me know and I can get you a shipping quote. Shipping is not cheap in my experience.

    Hey guys,

Let me start by saying my car knowledge is very minimal. I am building my first engine so hopefully that puts things in perspective and you can ignore anything stupid I may say.

I inherited a sbc 302. It was completely rebuilt and then stored without ever having been run for the next 8 years. I am making the engine a 350 for a truck. The crankshaft is 1178 which I understand to be a late 60's Z28 forged crankshaft. After looking at the bearings, it appears the crankshaft has never been ground. I am taking it to a machine shop today to have them measure and inspect it. Then, I will be selling it.

Maybe you guys can help me out here as I have no real idea of the value of this thing and don't want to list it for too much or for too little. Any information is great and also anyone interested can let me know.

I will update this post after the machine shop. The photo shows the crankshaft seeing the light of day after 8 years.

Had machine shop measure it, standard bearing size, has never been turned. No scratches or signs of issues.

If that's a MO or a DZ 302, your crazy to make it into a 350. There are buyers that own 67-69 Z/28's that could use an engine. Post it up on www.camaros.net
You'll be asked for numbers so post them off the stamped pad and the casting numbers and date codes.

Yep, I’ve read about those. It is not unfortunetly. It’s a Chevy warranty block from 69 based on my research

Still worth money to a 69 Z owner without it’s original powerplant

So if you look at the front pad on the pass side, it could be stamped CE.......... CE means under warranty crate engine (short block).
