I’m new to the site. I recently acquired a 74 Z. Very excited about getting to know the car and getting it where it needs to be. I have read the stat sheets. I know production numbers of 1974 Z28 Type LT but is there a way to find how many of a particular combo of optioned cars were built? I have a 74’ Silver Metalic Z28, Type LT with:
    4 Speed
    A31 Power Windows
    C50 Defroster, rear window
    C60 A/C
    D34 Mirror, visor vanity
    Tilt steering column
Drip rail, side molding, tinted glass.
Seems to be a fairly heavily optioned car. I know it’s not a super rare car and I’m sure a lot of Z28 Type LT’s came with the options listed but I’d still like to know how to narrow it down or if it can be narrowed down. Any help or a direction to look would be great!

welcome to the site . unfortunately there is no way to break down individual options as related to a specific car . just percentages . you can find out how many 74 camaros came with ac and how many camaros came with the Z28 option and how many camaros came with rear window fan and find out what percent out of the total and get a guess . chevy didn't keep those kind of records like ford and mopar .

if your car is Canadian sold , you can contact GM of Canada to find out what the car was optioned with from the factory as a reassurance of what it is .

Don’t know if it was Canadian sold or not. I will have to dive deeper in the history of the car. I’m 4th owner, so the third owner says. Will work on tracing it back. Thanks for the reply!

Through some creative cross multiplication you can get a ball park of it as it pertains to Muncie, S-T10 HEI or Points.
If it’s a HEI, BW S-T10 with the opening in the fender and LT it’s a low number car for those advanced features. Is it worth more if it is. No. It makes it more desirable to me tho.

    VIN 1S87T4N135341.
It is HEI. Made 1st week of December in 1974. Late production model but I will have to check on the transmission. What opening in the fender are you referring to?

ED5EAA09-D539-40DE-8654-F71DD2F4DCD4.png According the VIN number your is a Dec.(12A)1973 built car.
Not sure if somebody replaced the points dist. For HEI.
This is de fender indntation some 74s have the opening, others just like the photo, and the rest neither.

I have read various truths on this. Most say first production was May of 74’. But I recently read that it was available after January of 74’. I also read that it was option mid 73’ on Trans Am’s. Also read that the smaller 74 Z28 Air cleaner was produced early to mid 73’ to fit the HEI ignition. Could HEI have been available as an up charge earlier than May of 74’?

HEI cars started trickling out in February 74 if I recall. Yours would have been added at a later time.
