    Hi All,
I have a 1978 Camaro LT and want to put a duel plane manifold on it. What I don't want to do is put a hood scoop on it so I want a manifold that I can use that I can use under the stock hood.

    Any idea's Thanks

A performer and and rpm performer will fit. an air gap should I think. a drop base air cleaner is needed for most

    I used a Weiand Action Plus with a Q-Jet. (It's basically a Performer clone.)
No mods and it fits under a flat, factory hood.
Absolutely no extra space with the factory air cleaner... I have to be sure the wingnut is tight or the front edge will rub.
No dents in the hood from it... just wore a little paint off.

remember too that you can mitigate hood clearance issues by selecting a shorter element to put in the housing. Wix has several different heights for the basic 14" round air filter. I have an air gap intake, edelbrock 1406, drop base and about 2 1/4 to 2 1/2" filter and all's well.
